By David Ball
Awakening
Tear drops of the heavens
Delicately rolled off the blades of grass
Tiny heads jabbed out of tree trunks
Ravenous after a stormy night
An overpowering light arose
Allowing lost travelers to find their way
A minute stream developed into a river
While the darkness had overtaken
The blue sea above
Battled to prevent another attack
